Health Insurance for Family planning

You’re ready to start a family, Let us help you Prepare!

When selecting a health insurance plan for family planning, here is what you must consider.

  1. Where do you want to deliver at
  2. Current OBYN and Future Pediatrician
  3. Deductible and out-of-pocket maximums.

Each insurance company has its own established network. We have to make sure the facility you want delivered to is in the network. If the pediatrician is affiliated with another healthcare system in the future, this may require more research. There are a couple of carriers that provide access to multiple healthcare systems.

When a child is born, you will pay that individual deductible. Would you prefer to have a lower deductible, which would require a higher premium or a higher deductible with a lower monthly cost? We can crunch the numbers to determine the lowest cost for the delivery. Please remember when the child is born, now they have an individual deductible that you could be responsible for. If the father is concerned about his physicians who operate in a different health system, rest assured; we can split the coverage and put Dad on his plan.

Premium Assistance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA)

You may be eligible for reduced premiums through the ACA. Your household income would determine the premium, which may be 9%. When premium assistance is added to the equation, you may be able to purchase a policy that has a lower deductible and is out of pocket.
